"Genuine kindness 'the type that isn't coated in mawkishness or undercut with irony' is about as rare in the theater as a talking cat. Kenny Finkle's INDOOR/OUTDOOR has both. …it's the improbable story of a kitten who follows the path of so many heroes by leaving home to find herself. It is also a clever, big-hearted comedy that makes it easy to feel good. Finkle gives his central characters rich detail, letting comedy arise naturally from their interactions. More than making jokes, he's crafting a story. INDOOR/OUTDOOR is less about cats than about glorious, permanent love." Mark Blankenship, Variety

Due to the nature of this show, the Waterbury Festival Players will be making a special donation to the North Country Animal League.

lives in Morrisville and is a director of the Peoples Academy Stage Company, where he and his cast recently performed JM Synge's "Riders to the Sea" at The Vermont State Drama Festival. In an effort to drown himself in the arts he also works for The Governor's Institute on the Arts and has recently joined the River Arts board of trustees. He would like to dedicate this performance to his Grandmother, Beverly, because she has always supported him and is a true "cat person".

I'm really more of a dog person actually. This show of course features my favorite little kitty cat. Yes I'm a bit of a sap, and I like this kind of show. If this show doesn't touch your heart then you may want to have it checked out. I hope you enjoy it.

adopted two cats from the animal shelter and is certain that she was a cat in a previous life. She feels ready to crawl into Samantha's skin - uh fur. Ginger has been performing for years in the central Vermont area. She would like to dedicate this show to the memory of Sundance, her one true feline love.
Geoffrey_Stewart (7K) Geoffrey Stewart
appeared at WFP last summer as Dr. Framingham in Beyond Therapy, is the director of theatre at Kent School in Connecticut. He holds a masters degree in theatre from Northwestern University, and has summered in Vermont for many years, including working at Dorset Theatre Festival and relaxing at his house in Morrisville. There, the only cats he deals with are interlopers from Marcel’s student’s house next door.

has been able to commune with the animal kingdom since before she could walk, and of all the languages she is fluent in, cat has always stood out as the most complex. She would like to thank all her human companions for their patience and support while she finds her true calling, and all her feline companions for not giving up on her. Enjoy the show!
