Concerned with a group of gossipy southern ladies in a small-town beauty parlor, the play is alternately hilarious and touching—and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength and purposefulness which underlies the antic banter of its characters. "Harling has given his women sharp, funny dialogue…The play builds to a conclusion that is deeply moving." —NY Daily News. "…a skillfully crafted, lovingly evoked picture of eccentricity in the small-town South…Robert Harling is a new voice in the theatre and the qualities of STEEL MAGNOLIAS suggest he may be an important one." —Drama-Logue. "…suffused with humor and tinged with tragedy." —NY Post.

Kathy Barickman Kathy Barickman
is excited about her sixth season with WFP. She has been playing in the dark backstage since high school and has stage managed productions throughout college and then with the Valley Players in Waitsfield, VT after moving here from upstate NY. When not playing in the theater, Kathryn can usually be found at her job as an environmental laboratory analyst in Williston or singing with St. Michael's College Liturgical choir. Occasionally she is even at home in Underhill with her husband, Jake, and their houseful of loving critters. She thanks her parents (both English teachers) for passing on their love of theater and her husband for his loving patience.
Holly Biracree Holly Biracree
is thrilled to be returning to the WFP stage with this amazing cast! This is such a challenging role, and she wants to dedicate her performance to the late Al Myers, her elementary drama director and friend. Mr. Myers is the reason she is on this stage tonight, as he always believed in Holly and her dreams. She wishes to thank her parents, Eugene and Inez, her loving husband, Mike, and her two amazing sons, Bryce and Gabriel for all their support. Please enjoy this journey and remember there is always someone who believes in you, if you believe in yourself.
Ramona Godfrey Ramona Godfrey
has played with several of Central Vermont’s local theater groups over the past few decades. She’s thrilled to be playing this character again (was in a Lamoille County Player’s production 10 years ago), especially now that she really is Ouiser’s age! Ramona was most recently seen in the QuarryWorks players’ production of Irving Berlin’s “Mr. President”. Since singing is not a strong trait, this may be the only musical you’d have had the chance to see her in....
Linda Iannuzzi Linda Iannuzzi
is tickled pink to be back on the WFP's stage and further tickled to be sharing it with these very talented ladies. She would like to thank them, the crew & George for all that they've given her during this process. This show has always had a special place in her heart, and she hopes you leave here this evening feeling the love. As always, she sends big hugs to Luke & Jordi for being the best peeps ever! Enjoy the show y'all.

It all comes down to the show. All the building and rebuilding, planning and organizing comes with one great reward. I get to sit with an incredibly talented group of actors and we get to create a show. Steel Magnolias is a wonderfully deep and passionate play. It is all about the true social network of life. Please enjoy this experience of humanity with us.
Ginger Pierce Ginger Pierce
has appeared on the WFP stage since the theater opened in 2006. When she's not doing theater stuff, Ginger enjoys gardening, catching up with her kids, spoiling her new grandson, spending time with her husband George and being a 2nd hand store junkie.
Sarah Venooker Sarah Venooker
is excited to return to WFP's stage with this beloved group of actors in a great story that she's been drawn to since she was young. Instead of actors playing friends, I get to tread the floor boards with my friends who are actors. Family is family, life is life and sometimes you get to choose what happens with either, sometimes that choice is beyond your control. We thank you for joining us tonight and sharing this journey. Much love to my Pinecone and my family for all they share with me in this life.
